Welcome to Collaborate

For the past three years, Fosterly has connected entrepreneurs with the resources and relationships they've needed to help start and grow their endeavors. With roots in local coffee shops where entrepreneurs would come to connect and work, Fosterly's objective has remained constant while its approach has continued to change and evolve.

Today, we're proud to formally launch our biggest event yet: Collaborate. Combining the best elements of our collaborative Study Halls, our annual Day of Fosterly conference, and our recent GovFest event, Collaborate is a two day conference for innovators in all sectors of business and public policy.

The conference brings together 1,200+ leaders from the entrepreneurial and government communities to share big ideas, learn together, and build relationships in the spirit of cross-sector collaboration. Mind you, Collaborate is not just for innovators and entrepreneurs who work with and for government, but rather for all individuals, agencies and organizations who want to innovate new ideas and build lasting relationships.

To show you how excited we are for Collaborate, we're holding an exclusive invite-only preview event on Thursday, October 16th at the Ronald Reagan Building in the heart of Washington DC.

Hosted by ABC/WJLA-TV Washington Business Report Lead Anchor Rebecca Cooper, the event will feature a discussion with high profile experts about how making data (particularly government data) more open and accessible to all will create entire new business segments, adding as much as three trillion dollars a year in economic value. They will explore the opportunities this new industry will create for entrepreneurs, inside the Beltway and beyond. Following the forum will be a startup showcase of the area's most innovative young companies using open data. (Be sure to reserve your spot today.)

Over the next several months, we will spotlight Collaborate participants, entrepreneurs, innovative government programs and more here on the conference blog. We can't wait to share with you all of the exciting partnerships and developments that we're working on!

See you at the preview event!
